It’s been announced that the CD for Galileo Galilei’s new song, “Circle Game” will be released on August 21. As previously reported, this song is to be used as the main theme song for the animated film version of the anime, “Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day”, and is also used as the new opening song for the TV special on-air series.
If there ever was a perfect example of Galileo Galilei’s music, it’s this combination of a sad but exhilarating melody with a dynamic arrangement.
This collaboration resulted in a special contents of the commemorative limited edition CD version of “Circle Game”. For coupling songs, this limited CD includes recordings of the old opening, “Aoi Shiori”, and the new opening, as well as a DVD which has the non-credit version of the opening video for the anime. What’s more, it even includes illustrations from the new opening movie, and the CD jacket itself is designed in illustrations from the anime and comes in a slipcase, making for an ultra-luxurious packaging for this Galileo Galilei and “Anohana” collaboration. This is definitely a must-have item for fans of both the group and the series.
