It is the second concert in Taiwan since GLAY last performed in 2011. GLAY played for two days at live house before, and this time was at a large arena just as fans and the band had long waited for this opportunity.
The set list for the stage included ‘Yuwaku’, ‘Kuchibiru’, ‘HOWEVER’, ‘SOUL LOVE’, ‘Winter, again’ and many more from their hit songs in addition to some of the latest and best songs from the album “JUSTICE’ and “GUILTY”. A fulfilling set list was prepared for hard core GLAY fans in Taiwan.
For the 7th song, GLAY played a cover of ‘Loneliness Terminator’, which is originally played by the very popular Taiwanese native band, Mayday. In fact, GLAY and Mayday had known each other for a long time. Mayday made GLAY a request doing a cover of their song when GLAY visited Taiwan for campaign on June 12. In the past, Mayday had done a cover of GLAY’s ‘I’m in Love’, and TERU and JIRO, who happened to be there as audience, jumped right up to the stage and joined them. This is the first time GLAY does a cover for Mayday song. The two bands have previously performed together through ＜GLAY EXPO 2001＞, and the theme song for this expo, ‘GLOBAL COMMUNICATION’, was also one of the songs GLAY played at the tour finale this time.
The last song ‘I’m in Love’ started. The sound echoed through the entire venue with 5,000 fans singing altogether, as if they were all celebrating the complete run of ＜GLAY ASIA TOUR 2013 “JUSTICE & GUILTY”＞. With the completion of this ASIA tour, GLAY has so far executed the 4 surprise out of “7 BIG SURPRISES” that they had mentioned back in the summer of 2012.
GLAY will be performing on July 27 and 28 in their hometown, Hakodate at its largest outdoor live stage ＜GLAY Special Live 2013 GLORIOUS MILLION DOLLAR NIGHT Vol.1＞. The new single ‘DARK RIVER’ will go on sale from July 24, and the advance digital release will start on July 10 on iTunes.
